TK2 8001 PANZER VI TIGER S04 Tank

The TK 2 Pz.Kpfw. VI Tiger S04 was something I was really looking forward to, but unfortunately, I can't truly share the enthusiasm of others who have also built it. I admit, the model was easy to build and it has many great details, some of which could have been omitted. In my opinion, these details mask the fact that there is little to no clamping force in many very important areas, and other crucial details are missing. With the stated 55 track links, the track is so loose that it almost jumps off when rolling. With 54 links, it would be too tight, so without modifications to the rear guide wheels/Technic pins and bricks, they would be pulled out due to the aforementioned lack of clamping force. And now, looking at the pictures of the new TK2 Tiger S33, which appears to be the same model except for the color scheme, but with the biggest difference being the suspension wheels, I suspect that the S04 was merely an initial test model with these very flaws, just to see how customers would react and what changes were needed, even though they could have been omitted altogether. As for the clamping force, I don't think anything will change. I don't want to dwell on it much more; that would take too long and only reignite my disappointment. Giving something new a chance is generally a good thing, but then, as in this case, it should at least meet the standards of other manufacturers, and TK2 absolutely fails to do that, at least with this model, which is a real shame!

Amazing set from this new brand. One of the best brick tanks I've ever built. Brick quality is excellent. Design is stunning. You even get a poster. 10/10.
