Small Angle JD014 Machinery Scorpion

Sieht ganz nett aus, ist aber eher eher das einfachste der Viecher-Serie.

The parts quality is mostly good, the golden parts are perfect, the technical bricks are mediocre and many tiles are scratched (picture 2). Some are too tight and others are completely loose (the front legs, picture 4). The instructions are easy to understand and mostly easy to read. The black/dark brown colors are very difficult to distinguish depending on the light. The 1x1 bricks with axle mount are also easy to confuse with a normal 1x1 brick. The technique for moving the front legs does not work for me. The black 1x1 bricks with axle mount do not hold the axle at all, so the legs do not move when you move the mechanism, but the legs push out slowly. The mechanism to move the tail sometimes gets stuck because the axle is not locked. The set looks really great and is perfect as a showcase set, but the engineering is disappointing because it doesn't seem well planned and fails due to the widely varying quality of the technic bricks. Sometimes axles don't hold at all, in other cases axles can barely be pressed into the mounts. Therefore not suitable for children aged 6+ as they may get frustrated by the failing function. For children then rather the praying mantis

Overall a nice model to build, but the gears for moving the tail and front claws doesn鈥檛 work properly. Also some moments it鈥檚 not clear how to put the bricks in, the building manual isn鈥檛 always clear on what to do.
