    Overall this is a nice model. The bricks are good and the 45 page instruction manual's 132 build steps were clear and easy to follow. The tail flaps move, mine were loose, it could have included friction technique posts, but it didn't... I wrapped a bit of tape on it to stiffen it so it didn't flop down. It had a mini figure (none included) sized cockpit with lifting lid that I liked. The wings move to swept wing and fixed wing positions and locked in place... pretty well done design on the wings. The landing gear is spring loaded, another interesting feature. There is a lot of stickers, not my favorite, but they were ok and the instructions stated clearly where and when to apply them. One thing I didn't like is the number of pieces dedicated to munitions... of the total piece count, about 132 were dedicated to the 10 missile/armament loaded on the F14... that didn't bother me. It was the 174 pieces for 10 additional extra missiles... I suppose if you were playing with it, it might have been nice, but overall, I didn't find it sturdy enough for playability. (My armament piece count may be off, but is close). I'm still a bit perplexed on how to display these with the aircraft... maybe I need to build a ground station missile rack... Because of small design issues with some parts not hanging on well, stickers, and the large overall percentage of pieces dedicated to armaments, I'm going to give this only 4 stars. Even with that, it is a nice Fighter and if you like military aircraft, I believe you will be happy with this model.
