DK 4010 the Mechanical Terminator Bust

First: Sorry for the dark image. It's a cloudy day. But in the other way you can see the red eyes! The bust itself is a nice build and I have a few days fun building it. (Supportive Batman minifigure for scale. It's not included in this set!) For the photo I have turned on the light of the eyes. The effect is much better if it's dark. The brick quality is very good. There is no reason to complain about anything here. Only a few parts of the shiny silver parts have really small scratches but nothing you realize when the build is done. Also during the building process some fell wobbly but they get stabilized during further progress. There's a huge technic part inside to move the head later. It's a cool feature but not really important for me. It would be okay if the head would be placed on ball joint to move it. One disadvantage is that the batteries (not included, you need 3x LR44) are not easily changeable. You have to dismantle the upper head to reach to them. I don't know how long the batteries last. A better way would be a small chargeable battery or a usb adapter. There are no spare parts at all. Every brick of this set has a place in this build. Also no stickers or prints. I rate this a 5/5. I would rate a 10 out of 5 if the silver bricks would be real shiny chrome like the real terminator :D

This set is an absolute highlight for every Terminator enthusiast. The assembly was a lot of fun and the overall construction is very well thought out. The brick quality is very good and i like the great finish of the parts. It looks fantastic on the shelf and captures the iconic look of the T-800 perfectly. The stability is excellent for a display model of this size. If you love the movies, you can't go wrong with this one. Highly recommended!

As a huge Terminator fan, this was an instant buy. Never bought from this manufacturer before, so was a little wary, but the brick quality is excellent, up with the likes of Cobi. And the chrome parts are very well done, there must be more than 100 chrome effect parts in all. It's a tricky build, but the thick instructions are very detailed and clear. Construction is in 7 stages, with over 30 individually numbered bags. Not a single extra piece and not a single missing piece, perfection! The movement is very subtle, but not the reason I bought it, and adds to the technical construction. Light up eyes take 3 AG13 batteries, not supplied. They look great, but I'll use them sparingly as the battery block is embedded in the skull, so changing them could be tricky. Completed model is sturdy, except for the collarbones. Price for a set of this quality is insanely good, even factoring in the cost of shipping. Only thing I might mod is the upper teeth. Buy it!
