12GO 97036 1:16 TIGER II Bricks Set

TLDR: This is truely a one of a kind set, if you look for something huge and truely satisfing to build, I can wholeheartedly recommend it! As usual from 12GO, the brick quality is pretty good, a total of \~7300 pieces, the 16 bags took a total of over 20 hours of build for me (with splitted attention on some podcasts), however I like to take it slow when building, and some other members done it in under 10 hours. Overall, I'm very impressed with the design of the set, it is quite sturdy, you can handle it quite well. However, it is showing the boundaries of what is possible with brick building, and some longer pieces were a bit crooked, so some panels are not 100% aligned. I haven't built Cobi's 1:12 scale tank, but I would be interested to see how they handled this huge scale, maybe one day. :) I was pleasantly surprised by the tracks and wheels, despite the nearly 4 kg total weight (around 3800g) they roll butter smoothly. Size is about 63 x 23 x 20 cm (46cm length without the gun). The construction is very sturdy, apart a few picky pieces on the bottom, everything stays in place well. The turret has a few panels that connect by joints, as usual, but they are not going anywhere. I still advise to be a bit cautious when building the turret. I'm very happy to report that they used only a few special moulded parts, and the rest are standard pieces. The few they used are notably for the front budgards, the mantlet and gun, and a few wedge pieces. The overall detail is very imressive, the size to scale seems very accurate when compared to a 1:16 scale Henlong RC tank. Both the outside and the interior is very detailed. Highly recommend, legendary set!

Absolut cooles Modell und absolut riesig. Das Modell ist wirklich sein Geld wert und man hat sehr viel Bauspaß. Ich kann das Modell nur empfehlen.

What an incredible set this is! FULL INTERIOR tiger 2 with production turret. As you can see from my pictures, I've got it with the "guts" showing and turret off the hull for better display, and it is worth it! The one downside to this set is building the hull floor is repetitive and VERY fragile until you get quite far into the build. Due to the high amount of unique pieces, I'd fully expect to see more tiger 2 releases. Initial turret (first 50 tiger 2s) and Jagdtiger will hopefully come soon! And as always, excellent value and service from all at YWOBB!
