12GO 97006 IS-2 Heavy Tank

I pre-sorted T1, but first I built the four excellent figures and admired the two colored weapons. Again, the printing on the front and rear is superbly detailed-typical 12GO! Everything fit together perfectly, the clutch power was excellent, and the parts were fantastic. Therefore, after T1, I couldn't stop building T2, hence the slightly fewer, but no less informative pictures. I like the engine and drive unit the most; installed in the hull, it looks truly massive. The front and center armor are one piece, the engine cover has three openings, and the rear armor has two. The T3 kit also includes the turret, which comes with several nicely printed molded parts and some nice details (I installed the small loading rail and breech myself, whether they're original or not). Attention! You're better off attaching the two 1x6 plates from step 35 to the bottom of the turret cover in step 39. This makes it more stable, and besides, the whole thing is just mounted on two 1x2 jumper plates anyway. It's a mystery to me why they didn't do it that way from the start. All in all, another truly successful model from 12GO, with excellent figures and weapons. It was a lot of fun to build, the tracks roll perfectly, everything fits and locks precisely. I can say the price/performance ratio is excellent, and I wholeheartedly recommend this model to any collector without reservation!

Gorgeous model, fun to build, very solid and above all a faithful reproduction of the original tank. The instructions are also very clear. Highly recommended

Great IS-2 set. It is not that big, but quite detailed. They made the turret quite well.
