12GO 97010 M4 Sherman Medium Tank

Excitement is building, because it's the 12GO Sherman! Let's start with the figures, which are once again superbly printed, with different faces and extremely cool tank helmets. Even in T1, it's a bit tricky, and unfortunately, the fun ends at the beginning of T2 when fitting the tracks! Although it's great that they fit snugly, the construction at the front and rear for the large guide wheels is a bit weak, so they get bent outwards by the tight tracks, which looks really bad. Now I'm trying to solve this problem, and lo and behold, it's quite simple: on page 10, step 35, just leave out the two small rings at the front on each side. This makes the track fit perfectly, and nothing gets pushed outwards anymore. However, on page 18, in step 32, problems arose again; the track jammed. Troubleshooting dragged on, and T2 became a real test of patience! The jerrycans at the rear are too wide as intended and bend the holder apart, so I simply left out the 1x1 plate. Yay, found the T3 track fault: a 2x2 slope rounded front right wouldn't stay on the inverted plates and kept pushing the plate down into the track. I used a different slope and lo and behold, it works perfectly. The turret is another interesting design that nicely complements the 12.7mm Browning M2. With a few parts from my stash, the remaining fairing pieces, and the guys in the turret, it's time to complete it. Despite all the initial problems, it's a sizable 12GO that looks great.

SuperB set from 12GO! The price is quite appealing given the amount of bricks and the size (its a little larger than 1:28 scale in my opinion). The brick quality was great with some special molded parts. Overall really great looking set, the best Sherman I built so far.

Sooo ein cooles Modell. Ich hatte Riesen Spaß beim bauen und der M4 sieht super aus. Kann ich nur empfehlen. PS: alles Drucke keine Sticker.
